“I will not be receiving an email to work from home. As a Hospitalist, I am “essential staff” and will remain on the frontlines during this pandemic. I am blessed to practice medicine, but I don’t want anyone to be confused about my loyalties. Even if we are not talking out within earshot of them about our fears or concerns, they are able to observe our reactions and any changes in our overall demeanor. They are affected just as we are when situations such as this pandemic come into our world.
